The Tipp City Public Library feels that a connection with our community is of the utmost importance. Toward this goal, we have many outreach programs in place to better serve the Tipp City community. If you have an idea for an outreach program or would like more information on enrolling in a service, please call the Adult Services Librarian, Beth Freeman, at 667-3826 x216.
Along with a fleet of dedicated volunteers, the Tipp City Library is proud to offer Homebound Delivery Services. This service is offered to individuals who are, for the short- or long-term, unable to come to the library in person. We deliver to private homes as well as local nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The Adult Services Librarian will complete Readers Advisory with the patron, and we can get titles that are requested, or have the Librarian select the titles you receive. This services is available with both large print or regular print books, DVDs, books on CD, or other materials.
Are you a teacher or parent who home-schools? Tipp City Public Library offers Teacher Collections centered around what you need to teach! Simply call or stop by the library and request a Teacher Collection. You can specify the number of items, the subject, and an age range the items need to be appropriate for. Then, simply choose a date (at least one week later) to pick up your items! Please contact Julie for more information.
Once school is back in session, the library will resume having Take-Home Story Times! These packets of books are assembled around themes that include Monkeys, Space, Outdoors, Princesses, and other topics of interest to little ones. They also come with a craft and a song to do at home that also go with the theme. Find them in the children's section, on top of the shelves, wrapped with ribbon.
