Gem and Heater are once again loose in the library, and they have a third character, Blaze! This time, Gem, Heater, and Blaze are on a mission to steal the color from the library. To save the library, you must search the library for these three characters, hidden throughout the adult section of the library.

Each week their location will be changed, so keep a look out on our social media for when they move. Happy searching!

Molly from Inhabit Yoga will introduce fundamental yoga breathing, postures, alignment, and core muscle engagement to support your lifelong yoga practice. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or a seasoned veteran, you’ll benefit from getting back to the basics! 

Yoga will be outside (weather permitting) starting June 3rd until the Fall/Winter months

Patrice Link offers an introduction to stretching focused on bringing balance, increased blood flow and relaxation to oneself. Adults are welcome to join us as they find inner peace through the benefits of stretching. A one-time registration is required.

Join our Kindness Blooms @ Your Library intergenerational project to add color to homebound patrons’ lives and show them you care. Individuals or families may sign up to decorate a flower pot at the library, which will later be filled with dirt and zinnia seeds and delivered to a homebound library patron. We have 50 flower pots to be decorated with acrylic paints and personalized for homebound patrons according to a questionnaire they complete. 

This activity is recommended for ages 10 and up if unsupervised or ages 5 and up if supervised by a family member or caregiver. The downstairs Meeting Room will be available for painting during the following times, and pots must be completed by 3 PM on Saturday, June 7:  

Tuesday, June 3, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM

Wednesday, June 4, from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM

Thursday, June 5, from 10:00 -12:00 PM

Friday, June 6, from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM

Saturday, June 7, from 1:00-3:00 PM

Spend some time unwinding with a monthly DIY craft kit! Each month we will provide a DIY for you to create and display in your home! May’s DIY is a Dried Flower  Bookmark! The DIY will now be available for pickup on Tuesday, instead of Monday.

Can your family work together as a team to put together a colorful 400-piece puzzle in 60 minutes or less?  Bring your team of up to five family members and see which team completes their puzzle in the shortest amount of time. Participants get to take their puzzles home. Those teams finishing first, second, and third will also win a prize from Topsy Turvy Toys.

The best way to get to know a beer style is by tasting multiple examples and comparing them, so join us as beer writer David Nilsen talks about the history of beers and guides us through a horizontal tasting of several different examples to pick up their subtle differences. We’ll also taste one wild card beer at the end just to mix things up!
