What amazing LEGO creation can you build either by yourself or with a group of friends? We will display all of the themed creations in the children’s area for three weeks so that you can have bragging rights. Students must be in grades K-5 to participate. Registration is NOT required.

Tuesdays from 4-5 PM in the downstairs Meeting Room

  • May 13 (1 opening)

Therapy dogs from Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association provide children with a calm, non-judgmental audience to practice their reading. These sweet dogs can also help calm children’s anxiety. Children in grades 1-5 can practice reading aloud to our awesome dogs, Branch and Rylee, in a stress-free environment. Each reading slot is ten minutes long; each dog will see five readers. Children may either come with a book of their own or select one of our books from a basket. Registration is required. Call the library at 937-667-3826 to register your child.

Join our Kindness Blooms @ Your Library intergenerational project to add color to homebound patrons’ lives and show them you care. Individuals or families may sign up to decorate a flower pot, which will later be filled with dirt and zinnia seeds and delivered to a homebound library patron. We have 50 flower pots to be decorated with acrylic paints and personalized for homebound patrons according to a questionnaire they complete.

This activity is recommended for ages 10 and up if unsupervised or ages 5 and up if supervised by a family member or caregiver. The downstairs Meeting Room will be available for painting during the following times, and pots must be completed by 3 PM on Saturday, June 7:
