Therapy dogs from Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association provide children with a calm, non-judgmental audience to practice their reading. These sweet dogs can also help calm children’s anxiety. Children in grades 1-5 have the opportunity to practice reading aloud to awesome dogs Branch, Rylee, and Sophie in a stress-free environment. Each reading slot is ten minutes long; each dog will see five readers. Children may either come with a book of their own or select one of our books from a basket. Registration is required. Call the library at 937-667-3826 to register your child.
