Who We Are
The friends of the Tipp City Public Library is a nonprofit organization, formed in 1992, open to all individuals, regardless of age or place of residence.
The Friends of the Tipp City Public Library is a group of volunteers dedicated to enriching, promoting and sponsoring literacy efforts in our community. They bring together involved, caring people who are willing to work for the excellence of our library through their volunteering efforts. Their ideas and voices support and promote one of our community’s greatest assets…The Library.
Contributions
Contributions and membership dues are used to purchase items for the library. In the past, Friends have purchased computer manuals, camera software, chairs, carts and supported the Library levy.

What Friends Do
Friends are strong advocates for the library with energies directed toward the promotion of literacy and reading. The group sponsors fundraisers and members work as volunteers when needed.
In the summer, Friends donate time and resources to the summer reading clubs for youth, and sponsor a party for all of the kids who complete the reading requirement.
Friends provide support for holiday activities in addition to the popular “Holiday Music in the Library” series.
The group’s most popular event is the Book Sale. Book donations are accepted at the library during regular business hours.
